CHILI COOK-OFF RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

1.     Must be chili, no soups
2.     Meat of choice or vegan style
3.     Minimum 2 gallons (or more if you want) cooked prior to event – bring hot, ready to serve
4.     All entries must arrive by 4:30pm
5.     Judging will begin at 5:00pm with winners announced at 6:30pm
6.     Blind judging – Volente Fire Fighters
7.     Peoples Choice judging – Volente Community
8.     Firemen’s Choice - Prizes and aprons awarded for 1st ($300), 2nd ($200) and 3rd ($100)
9.     People’s Choice - Prizes and aprons awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
10.  No entry fee for Contestants – Free to Enter!
11.  You will be assigned a secret number upon check-in – this is your contestant ID for Firemen’s Choice Blind Judging
12.  You will have an assigned station for set up
13.  Chili will be served from foil pans/sternos provided by the Auxiliary
14.  Bring serving spoon and any toppings you want to serve with your chili
15.  Sample cups and spoons will be provided by Auxiliary
16.  RSVP with the name of your chili entry by October 26th
